Big Machine Label Group introduced the multi-talented Ashley Campbell with her debut Dot Records single, "Remembering" (written with Kai Welch). She joined the now shuttered Dot Records (a division of Big Machine Label Group) roster that included Steven Tyler, Maddie & Tae, Drake White and 20-year-old newcomer Tucker Beathard and more.
The daughter of Country Music Hall of Fame member Glen Campbell and the goddaughter of Grammy award winning musician Carl Jackson, there’s no denying her iconic Country pedigree. Her music is a mix of her wide-ranging influences, combining the old-school country sound popularized by her father during the ’60s and ’70s with contemporary Americana, rootsy folk, and country-pop.

Glen Campbell’s longtime fans may hear something familiar in Ashley’s melodies as she embraces these similarities while distinguishing herself as a talented front woman. The singer knows the industry well — she spent three years on the road with her father, playing guitar, banjo and keyboards and providing harmonies during his farewell tour.

I wanted to write something that expressed to my dad how much I wanted him to feel safe … that he didn’t have to worry; I’ll take care of him when he can’t take care of himself,” she explained. “When you’re little, your parents take care of you and make the world not such a scary place.
As you get older, those relationships change and kind of swap places. The kids are the ones taking care of the parents and making sure the world’s not a scary place for them.”
“Remembering” is available for download via UK iTunes - Amazon UK
Remembering” – “A real treat..what a beautiful song..I think it really will strike you, written and beautifully sung” -  Marie Crichton BBC Radio Shropshire

2 years ago it was said Campbell was working on a debut album with producer Buddy Cannon.
She performed on various C2C Pop Up Stages in London 2016 and played both the Summer Tyne Americana Festival in July 2017 and  Nashville Meets London on Sunday July 23, 2017 at Canary Wharf.

C2C2018 Fan Reaction To Initial Line Up

Living legend Bob Harris (OBE; dubbed the UK’s King Of Country) made the exclusive announcement live on Bob Harris Country on BBC Radio 2 of the first headliners after playing Tim McGrawFaith Hill’s duet "Speak To A Girl" (BBC iPlayer)
After the spin Bob said:
"The twitter reaction to the announcement is ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE, it’s incredible the reaction, that the first headliners are Tim McGraw & Faith Hill"!

But then following the announcement of the initial line up for Country To Country 2018 by Bob Harris (OBE) at the Bush Hall in London on Fri October 6th during Country Music Week the reaction from fans was very mixed. Many of those that had bought Early Bird tickets back in March were particularly frustrated

Midland tweeted:

  • Thanks so much for adding Emmylou Harris and Margo Price
  • Glad we bought early bird tickets this time. :)
  • Fantastic line up #Cannot wait
  • Kacey Musgraves ALL THE WAY
  • Friday night it is! Love @TheTimMcGraw  and @FaithHill  can't wait to see them again
  • My 6th year always buy presale. Grateful to see various artists come across the pond. Was 2 nights now 3 a major highlight of our year.
  • So happy I've already got my tickets! I didn't think you could top #C2C2017 but you smashed it!!!! Can't wait #C2C2018
  • Best line-up ever! Can´t wait!
  • Taste Of Country: That is one amazing all-star lineup! -
  • People moan at repeat acts. People moan at new acts. I’m happy to experience the whole event atmosphere again. Though 3rd row seat helps :)
  • @SonyNashvilleUK what a fabulous line up. All I need is tickets. Fingers crossed for
  • Not the strongest line up but I’ll love it nevertheless. Go back a few years and we’d be lucky to get any decent artists over
  • Am I the only person who is not disappointed with the line up for 2018 ? I was chuffed to nuts with it. Kacey was the highlight of 2016 for me and I'm excited to see what she can now do two years on. I never buy early bird tickets. Wasn't even planning on going next year but I now can't wait for general sale to get mine.
Kacey excitedly tweeted a video:

  • Massive let down. Already bought tickets for a fortune and they produce this
  • Shocking worst line up yet by a mile
  • Cam, Cassedee Pope, Lucie Silvas, Drake White I don’t think were that unheard of. So disappointed with the line up!
  • Guess you had problems attracting the big talent this year C2C??  1 headliner not 3 in my opinion and a lot of satellite stage acts
  • I'm gutted as I have already bought my tickets! After being promised big things on the last night you have not delivered in my eyes.
  • Gutted! What a crap line up. The headliners are good and I’ve only heard of two of the other acts. This is the 6th year. Disappointed!!!!!!
  • Hey @C2Cfestival  look at all the negative feedback for 2018. Goes to show what a good / bad line up can do for your event. #lostafan
  • Lars Pluto: Country is bigger than just C2C, bro. Country music has been around a whole hell of a lot longer and it will be around for a long time after C2C comes to an end. Those pop fans who only ever go to C2C every year while ignoring other tours that come over as well as the staggering amount of homegrown UK talent have always been and will continue to be the only real losers in this scenario. So please, don't buy early bird next year. I'm begging you. I'd rather fewer numbers of cardboard cowboy hats and plastic boots show up in 2019. Save your money next year for that awesome Little Mix/Justin Bieber concert I know you pop fans are really craving.

  • This is underwhelming! Surely Kip Moore should be headlining over Kacey Musgraves? Won’t be getting early bird again!
  • Worst line up I have ever seen. I have been to every country fest since the first and this is not worth it this year. Who are they?
  • Can I have my £700 back please
  • Worst lineup ever. Just shocking. Feel bad to those who booked early bird tickets!  Can't see c2c happening in on 2019. Poor.
  • After Reba and now Kacey C2C on Saturday night is fast becoming early bath night...
  • This lineup in comparison to last year is horrible
  • Disappointing. Took a chance & bought 3-day early birds. Apart from TMcG/FH, LBT, Midland, Kip & Luke, we’d hoped for bit more quality...
  • Kacey n LBT as headliners - seriously best you  can do? They're undoubtedly good, but nothing on every other year!
  • Not happy bought Early Bird Tickets for this, spent over £1000 and that’s just on tickets and hotel not including spending money for merch
  • Oh dear. I’m so relieved that I had to sell my early bird tickets a few weeks back. Worst line up ever. Try harder next year!
  • Very disappointed line up does not represent current top 50 artists & very female heavy. Bump Kip up the bill so we can have a party night
  • Bloody Hell what a let down. Last year's satellite stage acts were 100%  better than most of this lot
  • Too many repeats. Not headliners. Can I have a refund?
  • I’m out
  • That will save me a few quid. Feel sorry for the people who bought early bird tickets before the lineup was announced
  • Massive let down C2C you have RUINED the best weekend of the year!
  • Really Disappointed. Can’t believe Kacey Musgraves is headlining Saturday.. hope Midland and Luke Combs are on to save the night!!
  • Id rather sit and watch my cat try to lick under her chin.
  • What an absolute joke. For this I paid £900 for three nights. Shame on you. It's disgraceful. Completely unacceptable and an absolute rip off.
  • Omg shocking could of had a week in Nashville for that
  • I'd quite like to see Faith Hill &Tim McGraw and Emmylou of course, not so enthused about the rest though.
  • I have been a country music fan all my life I know so many artists that some people have never heard of and I haven't heard of 5 of these artists disappointed
  • Crap! I'm sure I'm dreaming and Keith Urban will be announced in the morning.
  • We saw Kacey at the Albert Hall, and she was rubbish
